Heavenly Father,
Today I come to you for my grandson, Xander.
Lord, let Salvation spring up within him, that he may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus.
May he grow in the Grace and knowledge of You, Lord. Teach him to live a life of Love, through the Spirit who dwells within him.
May Integrity and Honesty be hia virtue. Father, help him not to be like many others around him, but let him be alert and self-controlled in all he does. May he grow to love Your Word and find that it is more precious than gold and sweeter than honey from the honeycomb.
God, I pray that You will help him to love Justice as You do and act justly in all he does. May he always be Merciful, just as his Father is merciful. Let him show proper Respect to everyone, as Your Word commands.
Help my grandson to develop a strong self-esteem that is rooted in the realization that he is God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus! Let love and Faithfulness never leave him, but bind these two virtues around his neck and write them on the tablet of his hearts! May he always be strong and courageous in his character and in his actions.
Create in him a Pure heart, O God, and let that purity of heart be shown in his actions. (Ps 51:10) Lord, may he always be kindto everyone around him. (I Thess. 5:15) May hw be Generous and willing to share, and so lay up treasure for himself as a firm foundation for the coming age! ( I Tim. 6:18-19)
Father, let my grandson make every effort to do what leads to Peace (Romans 14:19) May he be filled with the Joy given by the Holy Spirit. (I Thess. 1:6) Lord, teach them Perseverance in all he does, and help him especially to run with perseverance (Heb. 12:1) Cultivate in him the ability to show true Humility toward all. Please clothe him with the virtue of Compassion. Grant him to learn responsibility, for each one should carry his own load (Gal.6:5) May he learn the secret of being content in any situation, through Him who gives them strength (Phil. 4:12-13)
I pray that Faith will find root and grown in my grandson's heart, that by faith he may gain what has been promised to him(Luke 17:5-6) God, please help him to develop a Servant’s heart, that he may serve wholeheartedly, as if he was serving the Lord, not men (Col.3:23)
Lord please instill in him a soul that “followeth hard after Thee”, one that clings passionately to You! (Ps.63:8) Father, I pray that my grandson may acquire a disciplined and prudent life, doing what is right and just and fair (Proverbs 1:3) Lord, grant that my grandson's life be marked by prayerfulness, that he may learn to pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers (I Thess. 5:17) Help him to live a life that is always overflowing with thankfulness and always giving thanks to God the Father for EVERYTHING, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ (Ephesians 5:20; Col. 2:7) And last, Lord please help my grandchildren to develop a desire to see Your Glory declared among the nations, Your marvelous deeds among the people! Ps. 96:3)
